Back after forever gone
Where can i craft the best armor now? Back when i quit it was Droknar's Forge. Is it still the same? Also on my account i got a Ranger Monk thats level 20, is this any good? Was my first character way back when and i really only ever PvE'd with Henchman.
Thanks for the help |

Seeing as your a ranger, I'll go ahead and give the the traditional massive e-peen response: Black FoW w/mask of the mo zing and chaos gloves from EoTN. That's the best armor in terms of you wanting to show off.
If you're just looking for max armor. Anything after kaineng city in factions, after sunspear sanctuary in NF, and all the EoTN armors are max, question is whether you just want 1k max or 15k max armor. |

Droknars Forge offers the highest AL armor (80 for wars, 70 for rangers, 60 for squishies). You can get highest AL armor in other campaigns aswell, but only the skin is different.
Rangers are still fine.

EoTN = Eye of The North
You can switch heros in the party window, just kick out whoever you don't want and add whoever you do. You can only have 3 heroes, more if you are playing with a buddy that also has heroes. If you are refering to the other heroes that are available in the game then you must first unlock them. You do this by doing certain missions and quests. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hero Last edited by Lord Of Blame; Jan 25, 2009 at 10:02 PM // 22:02.. |

Differences between 1k and 15k (or prestige armor) is indeed only the price. Some say 15k is prettier, but that's all personal opinion.
Wiki has all the info you need on armor. Noticed you got a Ranger. |

Highly suggest checking out the Norn armor (from Eye of the North).
It's the best looking ranger armor in game, for male or female. Absolutely don't need to spend all the gold, ectos, shards, etc for FoW armor, which imho, looks crappy. Of course, you'll need to buy the EotN expansion and get to the armorer, AND before you can buy the armor you'll have to gain enough Norn faction for the armorer to talk to you.... Pain in the butt....but anything for fashion, right? |

If by gear you mean weapons, sure. Check out the collectors and weapon crafters in the various campaigns. If you mean armor, then sorta. You can pick up "upgrade" pieces in certain challenge missions and other quests to trade in for what is basically just a new skin for your hero armor. Looks different, functions exactly the same.
You can change your secondary profession after Ascending in Prophecies, the Nahpui (sp?) Quarter mission in Factions, or reaching the Command Post in Nightfall. Hero secondaries can be changed at any time. |

However, unlocking the secondaries from Factions and NF (assassin, ritualist, paragon, and dervish) will cost you 500g for each. To unlock these, talk to the Profession Changer in the Great Temple of Balthazar after you Ascend. There is also a Profession Changer in Senji's Corner in Kaineng City, and one in the Sunspear Command Post after you have done the quest "Building the Base: Prisoners of War". |

the easiest way to change your secondary is to map to great temple of balthazar and speak with the profession changer NPC. i believe it's 500 gold for each profession but it's just a one-time fee. after picking a different secondary, you can switch freely by pressing "k" and using the pull down menu near the top of the attribute panel.
